Bread Alone

You CAN live on bread alone if you eat true bread.

Jesus answered (Satan, the Tempter, quoting Deuteronomy 8:3 ),
"It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'"

John 1:1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John 1:14
The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us.

Matthew 16:11-12, Mark 8:17
"How is it you don’t understand that I was not talking to you about bread?
But be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees."
Then they understood that he was not telling them to guard against the yeast used in bread, but against the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.

Matthew 26:26, Mark 14:22, Luke 22:19
While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, "Take and eat; this is my body."

John 6:32-35
Jesus said to them, "Very truly I tell you, it is not Moses who has given you the bread from heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is the bread that comes down from heaven and gives life to the world."
"Sir," they said, "always give us this bread."
Then Jesus declared, "I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty."

John 6:48
"I am the bread of life."

John 6:50 "But here is the bread that comes down from heaven, which anyone may eat and not die. I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world."

John 6:58
"This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your ancestors ate manna and died, but whoever feeds on this bread will live forever."
